advertisement
noun
A notice or announcement in a public medium promoting a product, service, or event or publicizing a job vacancy.
Example: I am writing in reference to the advertisement you published in the Vancouver Observer for waiters and waitresses.
departure date
noun phrase
The departure date is the date that the traveling party is scheduled to leave their home and begin the trip.
Example: My departure date for Canada is drawing near, and I am busy with preparations.
outgoing
adjective
Friendly and socially confident.
Example: I am very reliable, trustworthy, have a friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with the public.
part-time
adjective
Employed for or occupying only part of the usual working day or week.
Example: I am a part-time student at college.
personality
noun
The combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character.
Example: I am very reliable, trustworthy, have a friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with the public.
preparation
noun
The action or process of preparing or being prepared for use or consideration.
Example: My departure date for Canada is drawing near, and I am busy with preparations.
publish
verb
Prepare and issue (a book, journal, piece of music, etc.) for public sale, distribution, or readership.
Example: I am writing in reference to the advertisement you published in the Vancouver Observer for waiters and waitresses.
reference
noun
The action of mentioning or alluding to something.
Example: I am writing in reference to the advertisement you published in the Vancouver Observer for waiters and waitresses.
reliable
adjective
Consistently good in quality or performance; able to be trusted.
Example: I am very reliable, trustworthy, have a friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with the public.
social network
noun phrase
A network of social interactions and personal relationships.
Example: I know you have a wide social network in Ottawa.
temporary employment
noun phrase
Temporary employment, whereby workers are engaged only for a specific period of time, includes fixed-term, project- or task-based contracts.
Example: I would very much like to arrange some temporary employment before I arrive.
trustworthy
adjective
Able to be relied on as honest or truthful.
Example: I am very reliable, trustworthy, have a friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with the public.
